What e-bike brand passed a demanding judging committee to receive the Good Design BEST 100 Award for two consecutive years in Japan? The answer is BESV! The Good Design Award in Japan is held by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP), and is renowned as one of the most prestigious design awards in the world. The G-Mark award recognizes good products with outstanding quality and must pass the stringent standards of the judging committee. More than 70% of Japanese consumers prefer to choose products with the G-Mark when make shopping choices. The G-Mark not only represents brand image and product value, but it also means innovative, fashionable lifestyles and attitudes.

That BESV as a new brand can still win the G-Mark BEST 100 Awards for two consecutive years under such circumstances has impressed the bike industry. The new JS1 won the Eurobike Award in August, 2015, and then went on to win the G-Mark BEST 100 Award in October. Produced using the same manufacturing process as Moto GP racing motorcycles, the JS1’s dip-frame is easier to mount and dismount than a normal bike, and the design also creates a more balanced ride. BESV’s Smart Mode calculates the level of power you need for optimal ride comfort, taking into account both riding conditions and your pedaling power, and intuitively and intelligently adjusting the power while you ride. Smart Mode utilizes advanced sensor technology and our Algorhythm software to automatically adjust power levels so that you always stay in the comfort zone—at an optimal torque of 25-45Nm.
